Ribbed was the first band I was ever in. Back in high school, my friends and I were pretty much nerds yet somehow decided we wanted to start a band together. So we went out, bought instruments and away we went. We had a blast. What was neat was that at school we were dorks, but up on stage we felt pretty cool. We started to make a name for ourselves and began playing with bands like the Vandals, Freakdaddy, and Ignite. One of the coolest things that happened was: During "grad week" in high school there was a talent show and of course we entered. Every senior student had to be there to watch the talent show or they would not be able to walk during graduation. So even though people thought we were nerds, they had to hear our band that day. Needless to say, we rocked their lame asses and won the talent show. Suddenly, everyone thought we were cool or something and we didn't even care. I guess sometimes people just need to be forced into hearing a good band.
